Description

Panchagavya is prepared from 5 products from the cow namely, cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd and ghee. In addition, jaggery, banana and coconut water are also added for enrichment and is fermented. It contains both macro and micro nutrients and also the plant growth hormones like Gibberellic acid and Indole acetic acid. Panchagavya can be used as a growth promoter and insect repellent. It is used as a soil drench or as foliar spray on the saplings and plants. Soil drench once in a month and foliar spray every fortnight will provide the best results. It should be used in the ratio of 1:30 – 1 unit of Panchagavya can be diluted with 30 units water.
